Sea Otter Classic 2022: The largest Biking Event in North America

The Sea Otter Classic is the world’s premier and largest cycling event in Monterey, CA, and the North American region. This event has it all; it features recreational biking, expo, festivity, and a whole other level of fun.

In the past, this 4-day event has usually attracted close to 71,000 fans worldwide, and this won’t be any different. Everyone is welcome to participate; professional cyclists and amateurs, kids and adults alike.

There will also be a lot of family-friendly activities, including a bike play zone for kids to try out their budding skills, carnival hunt, mountain bike day camp, and seasonal egg hunt.

And for the over 21, a cold beer will do as you enjoy the incredible views from the beer and barbecue garden.

If you’re looking to purchase a new bike or other equipment, the Sea Otter Classic Expo offers that. There will be more than 400 exhibitors showing off their latest tech, gear, mechanics, as well as clothing and nutrition.

And for a more fun experience, you can join in for the Sea Otter’s Gran Fondo ride. The 49-mile Coastal route and the 91-mile Carmel Valley route are fully supported road rides.

The 19-mile mountain bike ride also starts at the Laguna Seca, taking the riders on a tour of the Fort Ord National Monument and ending with a celebratory lunch. So, it’s not a race; it’s a fun ride.

Not to forget the most thrilling part, for the competitive spirits, there will be mountain bike races featuring cross-country races, downhill, short track, road cycling, including pro/elite stage races.
